Aboriginal Art        A beautiful and   exceptional collection of paintings, this collection was gathered 20 years ago at the
                                                       begining of the aboriginal paintings success story.
                                                       All the works exposed are unic they were made by famous Aboriginal artists.
                                                      most paintings from these artists hamg nowadays in museas around the world.
                                                      Many of the presented works have been in the past presented in diverse galleries in Europa.
 Vanaf 10 April bent u welkom in onze Studio Art & Francophonie  voor de expositie van Aboriginal schilderijen uit de Western Desert van Australie.
De doeken zijn afkomstig uit gemeenschappen in een wijde boog rondom Alice springs: Balgo Papunya, Yuendumu en Kintore o.a.
Het werk oogt abstract met zijn grondpatroon van geometrische figuren als circles, lijnen, bogen, stippen en diasporen. De voorstellingen hebben te maken met de legendarische Dreamtime waarin de Aboriginal voorouders de wereld schiepen.
In hun werk wordt de allesbeheersende natuur uitgebeeld. Een terugkerend dier is de regenboogslang, die volgens de Aboriginal-overlevering in de oertijd {dreamtime} een van de scheppende krachten vertegenwoordigde.
De “ dots paintings “ zijn ook te beschouwen als eigentijds varieties op de traditionele zandschilderingen die in de Western Desert gebruikelijk zijn bij inwijdingsceremonies.
